Comcast to cap downloads

Filed under: Tech — admin @ 10:45 am

This is really upsetting for Comcast customers, especially those who download a lot of things. By Oct. 1 they plan to implement a 250GB (the cap limit may change) monthly download cap on residential users. According to Jennifer Khoury, a Comcast spokeswoman, less than 1% of their customers exceed the cap. As for customers who do exceed the limit, Comcast said it would not fine them nor cancel their service but simply give them a call to make them aware that they’ve exceeded the cap.
