Some revolutions in Saudi Arabia

Filed under: Business — admin @ 6:15 am

There has been a rule that Women in Saudi needn’t take the permission of male guardian for voting in municipal elections. The municipal elections which will be conducted in the year 2015and for the first time women will also run office says another report. The change in Saudi Arabia shows some of the restrictions being eased for women but less for the reformers who expect more to happen. The state run newspaper al-Anzi has quoted about the women for voting which has been approved and has come after there was revolution.

The revolution for women came after Saudi king gave approval while the Shura council has no legislative powers. In spite of all theses restrictions in Saudi Arabia the country’s open election rules have guardian laws which are in Saudi Arabia. Most of the laws in Saudi Arabia are like women cannot travel, work, study abroad, gain admittance and divorce without the approval of male guardian. There is a law interpretation of Islam called as the Wahhabism which are mostly opposed by the reformers of Saudi Arabia.

The announcement of women to vote without taking the permission of male has created a debate among many of the people in Saudi. Saudi Arabia is one of the guardian of the holiest sites of Islam as we all know and some announcements have created debate. There have been some changes given by King Abdullah over women rights and the laws have challenged the social reforms of Saudi Arabia. The guardianship laws of male is for women and is opposed by activist and the restrictions are practically being encompassing.
